COVID-19 Temporary Physiotherapy Closure

As you are aware, we have been required to close our clinic due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.  However, we are excited to introduce a Tele-Rehab solution which will allow us to continue providing you physiotherapy treatments while continuing to respect social distancing advisories.

Tele-Rehab will allow us to provide you with:

  • Physiotherapy education
  • Visual assessment
  • Teaching of self-treatment techniques
  • Exercise prescription, monitoring and progression
  • Supervision and coaching

With Tele-Rehab, your therapist will be able to reach out and arrange an agreed upon appointment time  You will be able to access your appointment through a web browser (at www.physiapp.com), or by downloading the PhysiApp application for iOS devices (at the Apple App Store), or Android devices (at Google Play Store).  Whether on a computer or mobile device, you will be able to have face-to-face video conversations with your therapist.  You will also have a prescribed exercise program to view, record your progress, and monitor your pain level.  This information is sent directly to your therapist for review.  Finally, you will be able to fill out objective questionnaires your therapist feels are beneficial in monitoring your progress.  You will be able to do all of this from a safe and secure location — your home.  PhysiApp has been around for more than 5 years.  It is fully secure and has been approved by the Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC).

Tele-Rehab appointments will be billed in the normal manner.  Most extended health providers including ICBC have indicated that they will provide coverage for Tele-Rehab sessions.  However, we ask that you contact your extended health provider, ICBC adjustor, or WSBC case owner to confirm before making an appointment.  Our office will look after third party billings.  Private (self-funded) appointments will cost $75 for a 45 minute initial assessment, and $65 for a 30 minute follow-up appointment.  Note that these appointments are one-on-one with your therapist.  Our office will accept credit card or e-transfer payments.
